Oliver Beuthin

DPhil Cand., Oxford

Oliver specializes in cultural psychiatry. His current work focuses on developing digital mental health services for Syrian refugees with suicidal ideation. He reverted to Islam 17 years ago, and has since traveled the Muslim world and studied Islam. He is particularly interested in integrating lived experiences and ethics in mental health treatment.

Sadiya Shahid

PhD, Cambridge

Dr. Sadiya is a socio-cognitive linguist with a particular focus on classical Arabic discourse pragmatics. Her current work centers on tafsīr, balāgha, and using that basis to build a context-sensitive model of interpreting and translating the Quran. She is passionate about using her research to inform self-development and mental health services for Muslims.
